Nitrogen Fire Suppression System
Engineered for oil-immersed transformers and reactors, our fixed Nitrogen Fire Suppression System delivers reliable protection based on the 'drain and inject' principle. When activated, it rapidly releases liquid nitrogen, which expands to cool the oil and displace oxygen. This dual-action not only extinguishes the flame but also prevents explosions by relieving internal pressure. It's a complete solution for transformer fire safety: explosion prevention and fire suppression in one integrated system.

I. product introduction
This device is designed to automatically detect transformer fires and can be activated automatically, manually, or remotely. Upon activation, it controls the oil drain valve to open, enabling rapid oil discharge and pressure relief. Simultaneously, the oil-flow cutoff valve effectively isolates the oil flow between the conservator tank and the main tank, preventing any additional oil from feeding the fire. The system then triggers the nitrogen release valve to inject nitrogen into the transformer, providing both fire prevention and suppression capabilities.
The oil-flow cutoff valve plays a critical role: during emergency oil drainage, it automatically cuts off the oil path from the conservator to the main tank, effectively preventing "adding fuel to the fire." This system is suitable for fire protection in new, expanded, or renovated power plants and substations, specifically for oil-immersed power transformers and reactors.

VI. Optional Customization Solutions
We offer comprehensive customization services, precisely matching everything from the installation environment to basic parameters to ensure seamless integration of equipment with site conditions and efficient, reliable operation.
- Installation Environment Customization: We can adapt the design to the specific site conditions, including site dimensions, spatial layout, and ambient temperature (e.g., low or high temperature conditions), ensuring smooth equipment installation and compatibility.
- Basic Parameter Customization: We can flexibly adjust key indicators such as design oil discharge volume (maximum/rated/minimum), oil discharge pressure, inlet and outlet pipe diameters, and DC specifications of the control cabinet to meet diverse operational needs.
VII. Quality
The Nitrogen Fire Suppression System has passed the national inspection for fixed fire extinguishing systems and obtained the corresponding type test report, along with a fire protection product certification issued by the Fire Product Conformity Assessment Center of the Ministry of Emergency Management. It also holds a ten-item EMC test report issued by a CNAS/CMA-accredited third-party testing institution in the power industry. Furthermore, the system has a supply record with both State Grid and Southern Power Grid, and is UL certified.
Qualification association: We adhere strictly to globally recognized regulations and protocols, integrating environmental excellence and quality management throughout the product lifecycle.

VIII. Real-world cooperation cases

The 1.55 million tons/year calcium carbide plant project of Adani Green PVC in India is equipped with a nitrogen injection fire extinguishing system for the electric furnace transformer. Located in India, we specifically developed system programs and procured specialized components based on the local power supply conditions, the client's unique control requirements, telemetry signal specifications, and component requirements. This approach fully met the client's demands.

XIV. FAQ
1.Q: Do oil-immersed transformers require reserved interfaces for the Oil Drainage and Nitrogen Injection Fire Suppression System?
A: Yes. The transformer must have one oil drainage port, four nitrogen injection ports, one shut-off valve position, and eight fire detector nuts. Specific locations and dimensions should be confirmed in advance with our technical team.
2.Q: How is the fire cabinet location determined?
A: Based on site space, transformer layout, and oil outlet position-typically 3–8 meters from the transformer oil outlet for optimal connection and operation.
3.Q: Where does the discharged oil go after system activation?
A: Oil is directed to the accident oil pit via pre-embedded guide pipes, which must be laid before installation to ensure smooth drainage.
