Working Principle of Dry-Type Transformers

Dry-type transformers primarily operate on the principle of electromagnetic induction. Their operating voltage range is generally 35kV and below, with frequencies reaching 50/60Hz. Internally, the transformer utilizes electromagnetic coupling between coils to achieve voltage transformation, current transmission, and impedance transformation. Dry-type transformers do not require insulating oil for cooling; they typically employ air cooling or self-cooling, achieving efficiencies exceeding 98%. They also feature no fire or explosion hazards, no pollution, and are easy to maintain. Currently, we offer a variety of dry-type transformer models, such as cabinet-type and box-type transformers, which offer high energy efficiency and excellent electrical performance. Customized rated current and protection levels ensure stable operation in various application scenarios.
